⭐Guided Reading and Writing Classes
(25-50 minute lessons)📖 These leveled readers vary in difficulty to enhance reading skills and comprehension. Students will read stories, practice vocabulary and grammar, and explore meanings or lessons. Lessons feature interactive activities, creative projects, and games to engage young learners.
🗣️ Storytelling lessons help students re-tell popular stories in their own words using question prompts and images. They can present these stories orally or in writing, with slides generating their final versions for sharing. The class focuses on writing skills like adding details, dialogue, and correcting spelling, punctuation, and grammar, serving as an introduction to creative writing based on familiar stories.
✍️ Twist the Tale lessons ask whether the hare really just had a nap mid-race or if the wolf was actually the victim of the three little pigs’ evil plans. Ideal for intermediate level students or above, these lessons challenge learners to put their own spin on traditional stories, either using the given prompts or coming up with their own. With more formal writing practice, including character profiling and planning the plot, these are a great way to develop creative and narrative writing skills.
